SCL Founding Partner Jeffrey Shinder recently spoke with Politico regarding the recent decisions in the antitrust cases against Google and Meta in their article, “Is Trump’s campaign against Big Tech stalling out?“
So, now what? From a legal standpoint, appeals in the Meta and Google search cases are a hard sell. “They both face a steep uphill battle on appeal because they both involve fact intensive rulings made by respected Judges,” Jeffrey Shinder, an antitrust partner at Shinder Cantor Lerner, wrote to DFD. The DOJ declined to comment on whether it will appeal, and the FTC did not respond to DFD’s inquiries on the matter.
