This Wednesday, the Court issued a decision refusing to dismiss LyricFind’s antitrust case against rival MusixMatch.
SCL Founding and Managing Partner Kellie Lerner, who serves as Lead Counsel for LyricFind with co-counsel from Reitler Kailas & Rosenblatt, shared with Billboard that she and her client were pleased about the ruling’s “strong rebuke” to claims arguing against the merit of the lawsuit.
In a statement to Billboard on Thursday, LyricFind’s lawyer Kellie Lerner said she and her client were “pleased” with a ruling that “offers a strong rebuke” to Musixmatch’s claims that the lawsuit was meritless: “We look forward to continuing to amass evidence of Musixmatch and TPG’s anticompetitive scheme.”
