Last week, plaintiffs and a certified Class of millions of employers and consumers represented by SCL announced a landmark $228.5 Million settlement to resolve claims that Sutter Health engaged in anticompetitive practices.
SCL Founding Partner Matthew Cantor served as as lead trial and appellate counsel for the plaintiffs and the certified Class in the case. In the matter, the Plaintiffs and the Class prevailed, on three occasions, at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. The matter settled on the eve of a re-trial of the Plaintiffs’ claims. He told the San Francisco Chronicle that he and the team are pleased that they “have been able to secure relief for the class that is fair, adequate, and reasonable.”
